Menara Tirza Christian School Elementary Curriculum

Grades 1, 2, 4, and 5:
Our curriculum for Grades 1, 2, 4, and 5 follows the Merdeka Curriculum guidelines, which ensure a balanced and comprehensive education for our students.

Grades 3 and 6:
Grades 3 and 6 also utilize the 2013 Curriculum, maintaining consistency in educational standards across all grade levels.

Core Subjects:
Our elementary program includes a range of core subjects designed to provide a solid foundation in essential academic areas:

Christian Religious Education: Strengthening faith and understanding of Christian values.
Civics Education (Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan): Teaching students about their roles and responsibilities as citizens.
Bahasa Indonesia: Enhancing language and communication skills in the national language.
Mathematics: Developing numerical and problem-solving abilities.
Natural Sciences (IPA): Exploring scientific concepts and fostering curiosity about the natural world.
Social Sciences (IPS): Understanding human societies, history, and geography.
Arts, Culture, and Skills (Seni Budaya dan Keterampilan): Encouraging creativity and artistic expression.
Physical Education, Sports, and Health (Pendidikan Jasmani, Olahraga, dan Kesehatan): Promoting physical fitness and healthy lifestyles.

Self-Development Programs

Mandatory:

Pramuka Siaga (Cub Scouts): All students participate in Cub Scouts to develop teamwork, leadership, and outdoor skills.

Optional Activities:

Dance: Encouraging expression through movement and rhythm.
Painting: Nurturing creativity and artistic skills.
Music: Developing musical talent and appreciation.
Futsal: Promoting teamwork and physical fitness through soccer.
Karate: Teaching discipline, self-defense, and physical conditioning.
Badminton: Enhancing agility and coordination.
English: Improving proficiency in the global language.
Computer: Building essential digital literacy skills.

Faith and Character Development Programs

Morning Devotion: Starting each day with reflection and prayer.
Friday Chapel: Weekly chapel services to deepen spiritual understanding.
Worship Notes: Encouraging students to document their worship experiences.
Monthly Bible Verses: Memorizing and reflecting on a new verse each month.
Yearly Bible Verses: Focusing on a significant verse for the year.
Character Traits: Learning and embodying positive character traits.
Character Stickers: Rewarding students for demonstrating good character.

The themes for chapel services and monthly Bible verses are drawn from the Character First series, ensuring a cohesive and impactful character education.

Additional Programs

Vegetable and Fruit Days: Promoting healthy eating habits by encouraging students to regularly eat vegetables and fruits.
